CIL is thrilled to announce that we are proud finalist for the Elektra Awards 2024. The nomination is for “Manufacturer of the Year”, which CIL has been shortlisted for the last 8 consecutive years, winning in 2022 and highly commended in 2023. This recognition highlights the hard work and dedication we put into advancing the industry.
This in a year when CIL experienced a further 23% growth to £31.5M and brought fully online the UK's largest Semiconductor packaging facility, complete with a volume PCBA assembly capability. CIL has now experienced 100% growth in the last 3 years and with its increased capacity it is now able to fully support its customer advanced technology and growth plans and keep their supply chains much shorter. Throughout the 12 months since the last Elektra Awards Finals, all microelectronic semiconductor packaging and SiC and GaN power packaging equipment and staff have transferred to the BP2 facility. in addition, CIL has also brought online 12" Wafer dicing and full plastic QFN overmold capability. Its also installed two volume SMT PCBA assembly lines capable of 10,000 PCBA per week and associated equipment such as X-Ray inspection, PCBA cleaning and automated de-pannelling. Due to the high level of automation installed, headcount has not increased and is planned to only increase slightly for its next financial year budget of £40M. In line with CIL's existing CIL House facility, in the same period the BP2 facility has now been qualified to ISO9001:2015, AS9100D and ISO13485:2016 accreditations.
